Welcome to the thread & poll for the July 2009 Background Photo. We'd like to thank all members who submitted photos to us this month and to all members who have submitted photos in to us since August 2006. Sadly there can only be 6 photos that go through to the poll and these have been carefully selected by the staff members on the forum.
We would ask all members to vote in the poll so you can have your say and cast your vote for the photo which you think deserves to be placed on the background of the forum. Remember if you are a new member you will not see the background photo by default. In order to view the background photo you need to select the SYT skin in your profile.
Poll Closing Date - The Poll will be closed automatically on Wednesday 1st July 2009, and the new background photo will be uploaded on to the forum on that date.
How To Select - You just simply look at the numbers at the side of the photo, select your best one, out of the 6, then vote for that number in the poll. In the event of a tie, both photos will be displayed on the forum for a period of 2 weeks each.
We would also like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your continued support in making the forum what it is today.
Thanks, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

I've voted for number 1 simply for the reason that I can't remember a coach being the background photo (and plus, it's a nice coach!)
I don't suppose number 2 was taken at the end of April (the Top Gear race)?
And while I'm not really a nostalgia-reminiscing-about-the-past person, number 4 is a really nice photo.

Option 4 for me. I have always liked the old Mainline days and the scenic setting is brilliant! Does anyone know where photo 4 was taken? Im assuming it is somewhere in the Peak District but Im not sure exactly where. I thought it was around Ladybower but the stone wall doesnt look familiar.
Yes, Busman3 that is the old Brightside station.

Yes, Busman3 that is the old Brightside station. Yes, it's Ladybower Reservoir, taken by me 19 years ago! I'm getting old! Oh, by the way, it's an official company shot which I took with me when I got made redundant.
