Hello Sam/All
Just a thought I had - the pictures on the right of the forums are a bit dated now, given that four of the liveries don't exist any more! Any chance they could be updated? I'm sure it won't be too hard to find suitable replacements, given the vast amount of pictures various members contribute to this site!
Cheers

Ryan
Many thanks for your suggestion. We shall have a closer look into this over the next couple of weeks, updating either some or all of the pictures on the forum homepage.
Thanks, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Looks good, nice to see a change of pictures. However... Aviation is spelled incorrectly

Nice to see the updated views however , I still believe that in order for this forum to be impartial the bus thread should have something neutral on it : a photo which does not show a current operator , so therefore while the shot of the terriers is a superb shot , it should show something like a bus stop symbol .

But Busman3 you could also say that the Railway Section and the Air Section are wrong as well and then you have the Bus Route plus others. The point i am making is where do you stop. Personally i don't see a problem with having the Terrier picture and i have to agree the new picture look good.

Partly agree however the main traffic on this forum is buses so therefore it should be kept impartial

I agree with you for us the main Traffic is Buses, but for other they may say it is railway and other's Air Travel. You have posed a good question, one i have been thinking about all tonight, should the picture be impartial and in someways i do agree with you, but i think if you do it for one section, then you have to do it for them all to be fair. It would be interesting to know what other members or the admin people think Busman3.

I don't think Yorkshire Terrier are a "current" company. By the same token any SYT/ Mainline picture could be interpreted as being "First", any Aston Buses/ South Riding/ Andrews/ Sheffield Omnibus/ Tracky/ Barnsley & District (etc) picture could be interpreted as being "Stagecoach". I think the important things are: 1. I don't think anyone could accuse the Forum of being "biased" in favour of/ against any one operator. We all have personal preferences, but overall I think there's a good balance. 2. It's a cracking picture 3. What image should we have on the "Tram" section to avoid any accusation of Bias?

There is only one tram operator in the area that you cover so therefore the situatioin does not occur

Not quite pictures but the fleetnews section contained within buses is now called "rolling stock". My question is isn't rolling stock a term associated with the railways and not buses?
