I will go for no 4 as it is something a bit different, but without upsetting Busman3, i too don't much like the selection this month, but i will agree there is some good technical images, espically the destination on no 2.

Tough choice. Going with 3, mainly due to the livery of the vehicle.

The tram would have been better if it had been in correct Sheffield Tram livery rather than Stagecoach blue. Poor marks for effort. A more "traditional" tram livery layout would have been better. Sorry, but I am not keen on any of the pix this month. The Tram WOULD have won (for me) had it been "right"

Picture No. 1 is an good photo so it got my vote. It would be nice to see more photographs from other areas of South Yorkshire. The photo shot of the locos in front of the plant is too general to be exciting. The display of the route in the front window of the Powells coach makes it look tacky.

The display of the route in the front window of the Powells coach makes it look tacky. On that basis no Veolia or Powells vehicle can ever be on this poll

But you could also say that about picture 1. That is just a general shot with a tram painted in the wrong colour and nothing really to get excited by. At least the train one is something different a Class 47 (if i am correct) in BR Green. As for your comment regarding the Powells one, if you go by that rule, it also rules out, the Tate one as well.

1. Fantastic set up. Was that from the cafe in T.J. Hughes by any chance?

How could I not vote for number 1. As much as I dislike the piss-poor attempt at Stagecoach getting the right shade of blue correct, they still went through with the plan and painted one of their trams off their own back and its this effort that should be looked at, not the shade of blue concerned. The shot is also great in the sense that its not something that you see everyday.
So number 1 it is.
