that opatre Olympus shouldn't of been the route. The vehicle is branded for the route, it had a regular board. It should have been on the route. The CORRECT route. sent while out and about

that opatre Olympus shouldn't of been the route. Before Trent sold the Doves Holes depot to Centrebus (50/50 by each company i think), it had duplicated one of the routes in the morning and that why the Olympus been acquired.

AFAIK the Transpeak service is limited stop around Stockport and this is/was the only double decker operated by High Peak. Without knowing what went on, like most people, I'd guess that this was a driver taking an alternative route (on a section of the route with no stops(?). Having seen a link from another forum, the bridge is clearly marked - maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=george's+road+stockport&ll=53.412835,-2.168201&spn=0.001151,0.008256&client=safari&hnear=George's+Rd,+Stockport+SK4+1DN,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=53.412834,-2.1682&panoid=3iwysw6UeVJu7TtOtNi7lQ&cbp=11,208.21,,0,-2.11 - but if you work for a company that only has one single decker then... Certainly, AFAICS, no blame attached to the company here (however much people want to bash Wellglade)

Certainly, AFAICS, no blame attached to the company here (however much people want to bash Wellglade) Very true, whilst they are far from my Favourite operator there can be no blame attached to them over this incident. The driver of any vehicle is the only one who makes a decision to go or not to go based on information seen. The bridge markings are clear and a decker handles very differently to a saloon so the old "I forgot I was in a decker" routine is no more than hogwash. Wellglades involvement with High Peak is, as far as I know minimal, with operational matters falling to the much more professional Centrebus team, hence the recent turn round in the fortunes of the transpeak service.
