I would have thought with first also sponsoring his event hey might have had sum advert stickers on there buses to promote it more.

There is a story there I am sure. Maybe if the organisers had placed some adverts First may have followed.

Why have the rally so late on in the year when the weather is getting worse?, surely it would have been better to have it in the summer months. Also how come they don't have it at Meadowhall any more?

Given that they have saved money by moving to the museum why not spend a little of what they have saved to tell people it has moved? Also, why were the posters that First agreed to display on all their buses for free still in an office at the museum.? Why is it that I (once again) have done more publicity for this event than the organisers? Sorry but SYTM have made themselves an absolute laughing stock today and I for one will never again attend one of their events. I look forward to next year when I understand a well run rally is being planned for the South Yorkshire area. They do not have a difficult act to follow here. Ask yourselves one question, Why do I sponsor an event over 100 miles away but will not attend my local event ever again?

This was posted after last years event (not by me though)
My comments to this are 1) Still seemed to be a bit disorganised today 2) Didn't clash (as far as I'm aware) 3) Not well advertised, and not sure if what little there was, was even correct.

This is meant to be the premier SY rally each year, and this year we also had 100 years of Buses in both Sheffield & Rotherham.
Apart from the 2 Sheffield buses resident here, and 37231 what was there on display to represent these historic centenaries?
Surely the visitors want to look at buses in their (semi) natural environment ie OUTSIDE, not cooped up inside the museum.

It was a disgraced last year, limited buses and stalls due to the Showbus clashed.
I haven't been today.

I've been today and got to admit it wasn't very good - but I will say thank you to the organisers of the event.

Whilst for obvious reasons I will not post some of my personal feelings on the net on this matter all I am going to say is this: It has so much potential as an event however I think it has come to a point of no return. There are things which have gone wrong this year where there is no excuse, last year should have been a learning curve.
