Its easy to say 'miles' instantly as that's the usual unit when talking about speeds, in mph, but most of these will probably be KM's im guessing. I almost had a heart attack when inspecting a 55 plate truck with 1,000,000 on the clock (well it read 000,047) but unfortunately this was in kilometers, so around 600,000 miles. Are we sure some of these mileages are genuine miles and not KM's? I thought the norm for a vehicle running a tacho was KM's but as you say this can be altered. That's high for it's age even. The 55 plate B7RLEs at Rotherham vary between around 360000 and 460000 which is a big difference. I'm guessing it's down to what they ran on or what depot they were at in Glasgow.

About 277,000 miles on 37516. Don't remember the fleet number, but was on one of last year's StreetLites earlier and there was nearly 50,000 miles on the clock.

I saw the clock on 32111 yesterday and that was around 425,000. Unless its already been round the clock?

63031 hit the 45100 mile mark last week. Not bad at 11 months old! I was on 63004 this evening and that was 50 away from 45,000

First: 37484 - 290,000 miles
Stagecoach: 15710 - 155,000 miles 22433 - 499,000, not sure if this is miles or km as the clocks have km/h with mph in small print and I know most buses with km/h as the main unit of speed have the mileage in km rather than miles (though the Scania above has km/h clocks and the mileage is definitely in miles). Either way, that's not bad for what are known to be unreliable buses! 499,000 miles seems like an awful lot for an 07 reg bus, but it's not impossible. This one did have a stop light on as it happened!

New speedo or in km? 022,000 on a 52 plate will likely be 1,022,000, and hopefully in kms as that would be nearly 1,700,000kms if it were to be in miles. 499,000 on the alx300 will probably be kms too as 300,000 miles sounds about right

I can't see any of the Presidents having being round the clock as everything that comes out of London is usually low mileage compared to other stuff. None of the Palatines at Rotherham had done a million miles when they were scrapped around 14/15 years old

I notice with the older Volvos, most have mph clocks (and the mileage in miles), but some of the B10BLEs and B7Ls/B7TLs (with the older style instrument binnacle like in the ALXs, B7Ls etc) have km/h clocks with mph in small print and the mileage in km. Did these need new instrument binnacles (in the case of the B7s) / speedometers (in the case of the BLEs) at some point in their lives or did Volvo just deliver some buses with mph clocks and others with kph?
Could that be why there is a President that has apparently done only 22,000 km?
