The B letter on the blue destination is now brighter blue than the square itself and the side destinations on the yellow route trams are now scrolling .

The Blue is supposed to be like that, so long has the Driver has put the correct code in. The Side Scrolling Display's are an error with the Blind set-up.

All the trams today were showing full size displays [not scrolling] is this new policy.

Heard elsewhere that only the large destinations should be in use on the trams now.

Yesterday, Tram 122 on Yellow's at Number 2 End, heading towards Meadowhall had an Orange 'Y' on a black background instead of a Black 'Y' in a Yellow Square.

Heard elsewhere that only the large destinations should be in use on the trams now. Hope its true. The large static destinations are a lot clearer to read

Heard elsewhere that only the large destinations should be in use on the trams now. Hope its true. The large static destinations are a lot clearer to read Well the Correct code is being put in for the displays and these are what is shown, looks like its the future -if you notice the letters in the Coloured Square's have changed slightly on Purple Route, being Lilac 'P' instead of Black. Blue is still a Light Blue 'B' and Yellow is still a Black 'Y'.

On a related point, from Aidan "Tonight-4th October, the Internal Scrolling Next Stop Display will be updated and Arena/Don Valley Stadium will be renamed Arena/Don Valley to match the Trams, which have had new Internal Maps above the Doors, with this removed".
Within this thread, the Destination Display's have gone back to 'big' lettering, so visually impaired people can see the Destination better-same with the Coloured Square with a Coloured Letter in it-Blue, Light Blue 'B', Yellow, Black 'Y' and Purple a Lilac 'P'.

Surely the letters would be better all being black on the coloured backgrounds. Go North East has this fascination with coloured route numbers, and although 100 times better now than when first introduced, they are still hard to read on some routes.

Spotted a couple of trams in the depot on the way past with some rather scary looking eyes on the front destination screens. The side screens said Eyes and then had a number in brackets - I believe 5001. Any ideas what this is about?
