Just a quick heads up that the second Sheffield running day takes place next Sunday (21st) at Abbeydale Road Tesco park & ride site. A good mix of buses old and new as well as trade stands and free bus rides. 10.00 - 16.00 programme available on the day £3.00 All profits to Charity. Frequent Feeder buses from the Penny Black and Rail station. Website

There has been a flood of entries this week meaning it should be bigger and better than last year.

Very good event and a good programme . As an old timer it was nice to see 5 half cabs including 3 AECs , my journey on the Bridgemaster to Dore Moor was most enjoyable.

Thanks, I also enjoyed seeing more half cabs. I think we got a good mix with something for everyone today. Not always easy. Bus of the day for me had to be 22 closely followed by the United tiger. (Lucky enough to have a drive of it again).

We take our programmes very seriously, some rallies really push their luck with 1 bit of paper for £5 being the worst I have seen. Not on.

I think we got a good mix with something for everyone today. Not always easy I think you got the balance right. Restrict it to "local" vehicles and you end up with just the same old buses year after year. Throw in some "exotic" ones that may have had no local connection and you'll get some complaints and some people keen to get on something different. I think it worked well today - my only regret was not getting the (freshly painted?) Barbie liveried ALX400 in the same photograph as the Stagecoach striped Megadecker, since those two liveries we so significant in UK bus history (whether people loved them or hated them). Look forward to 2017.

Hi.
Can anyone put any links on here or point me in the right direction to any pictures/films from the running day yesterday please?
Sadly for the second year running the dates didn't fit for me and so I was unable to attend in person but I'm very interested to have a look and see what I missed out on! Sounded like another good day missed!
Many thanks.
