Sheffield Service 1 High Green to Batemoor Reverts to pre-summer timetable with minor changes to improve punctuality following termination of First daytime journeys at Chapeltown. Service 52 Woodhouse to Hillsborough Frequency reverts to pre-summer timetable. M-S daytime service truncated to terminate at Crookes. First will still serve Hillsborough and Wisewood on service 52a. Cheers for posting these. So "we'll give up on weekday daytime services from Crookes to Hillsborough if you give up weekday daytime services from Chapletown to High Green"? Probably sensible use of resources (rather than frequency cuts on the busier sections of the routes), but the idea of the daytime SYT/ Mainline/ First service from Chapletown to High Green going down to just hourly (135) would have been unthinkable once upon a time.

As well as the service changes, there are signs up on Stagecoach buses saying that the "Optio" agreement comes to an end from 1 September, so First tickets no longer accepted on the Stagecoach 52/120 (etc) and vice versa. Presumably they are keeping the same six minute (combined) frequency from Chaplletown to Gleadless Valley - easier just to remove half of the High Green journeys than mess around with the other departures.

More changes coming in Doncaster? Obviously the 57a/c/f and 58a/c/f, and now new registrations for 8, 8a, i4, 15, 15a, 19, 55, 56, 65, 66, 66a and 84, 84a/b....8, 8a as Limited stop? and 58a/c/f to Skellow and Askern - another cross town service?

Hallgate is closing for 9 months in September which is why there maybe a lot of route changes as buses will no longer be able to use it when it becomes one way so I expected we will see 81/82 added to the changes.

On Saturdays 10am till 6pm missing out Parkgate Retail Park via Greasbrough. And on Fridays Rawmarsh is to introduce Friday o my timetables. Also saves RMBC actually doing something for the congestion for public transport at Parkgate, too. Useless bloody council. I guess the big development for Parkgate will be the launch of the tram-train service (hopefully in October) offering a fast non-stop journey from Parkgate retail world to Rotherham Central station. The journey time is just 3 minutes!

It’s the fact that RMBC have seen this coming for decades at Parkgate but continued to be bloody-minded and ignored the congestion which is now at saturation point. To be fair it isn't just Rotherham, this is a national issue with only limited spend on bus/tram priority measures and enforcement, partly because politicians don't want to be branded anti-car. Just look at how much extra running time has been added to schedules in Sheffield as an example, some journey times (for example 25 Sheffield-Bradway, 50 minutes at peak time for a 5 mile journey) is frankly outrageous and makes bus travel unattractive.

Stagecoach have won the tender for the 92 Barnsley - Cawthorne, with a revised timetable from 2nd of September allowing the bus to do the penistone school service 416 which globe run at the moment. However SYPTE have asked that Stagecoach start operating the service sooner- this Sunday 5th of August which will be on the current timetable.
