Its a low floor B6LE, originally a Volvo demonstrator, then Mainline 400 before departing for Plymouth around 5 years ago. And now its back along with stablemates 441-9. They are all for Doncaster and i can't for the life of me see whats wrong with that!
For a start its a B6 which aint ideal for Sheffield, secondly its 1995 build. Whats the excitement?

The branding is almost the same as Sheffield's 52 branding, it just doesn't fit too well on this type of bus. By contrast this type of line branding fits the Renowns almost perfectly.
The bus itself looks to be in good condition considering its age.

At the moment they are operating anything that comes along. In theory they should convert a few routes to LF operation, including the Bentley service. However, as this is linked now with the 76 it remains to be seen whether all will be on this, or whether it'll be a mixed allocation, or whether another type (SPD, B6BLE) will be used and these vehicles used elsewhere.
Yes, happy memories of these odd vehicles (as they were) on the 13/14 when new. Always amused me that they tended to issue Sheafline tickets for some reason!
(And MMM - why do all your posts come with the sad 'smiley'? You depressed?!)

One would presume they'd use LF vehicles all the way through with the extended 76?
