Two points, that don't really warrant individual threads.
The first, is nothing special, other than I saw the Nxxx JUG Mercedes 709s out in service on the 6 to Darnall yesterday. I'm guessing there's no demand for long buses on the route considering we used to have the short darts and now the minibuses are out.
The second is a question about the two B6 Dashes from Rotherham depot. I remember they used to be on the old 27 Rotherham - Killamarsh and was wondering which routes do they go on now, if any.

Yeah, it seems like the N-JUGs are now for the 6, although I assume they will not be here much longer. As for the B6s, they shouldn't be on the 27 anymore as it interworks with the 30, which needs deckers/B10s (although the K-EDT B6 was on it today....), so I'd guess they are still in use, somewhere else in Rotherham? Although it wouldn't surprise me if these are the first B6s to go (or have already gone) due to their non-standard bodywork. Sorry I can't help you any further since Rotherham is not my strong point!

The B6s are just B6s regardless of bodies and get out everywhere. I was on one of them on the 39 only the other day. The 27/30 interwork as stated requires bigger buses now, so B6s shouldn't be allocated, although as per allocators everywhere, mistakes happen in times of need.
The minibuses stay of execution puzzles me, but yes they should be effectively allocated to the 6. Not necessarily because of loadings, but because of road issues such as parking, primarily around the Bowden Wood area. I guess B6s are the real allocation, but it would be nice to see Solos on there at some point.
Problem when no-one is ordering them though (within First) is that none come up for grabs as cascades.

did the 2 alexander B6s come from Doncaster because i remember some Mainline buses panited in grey and they were about the same size as the dash B6s?

Eh? Doncaster originally had 2 x Dash's in white for the Goole Town services before '450/1' were delivered. These were 103/4 N103/4CKU which for the eagle eyed observers will note are now part of the SiSheffield fleet!
The two Dash's at Rotherham were new as stock built vehicles and came to FSY via the now long defunct Yorkshire Travel company.

oh yea i had forgot that 103/104 use to run on the goole service. these days 450/451 seem to spend more time off the goole route than on it.

Well, long gone has the livery, long gone are the days when the only appropriate alternatives were allocated to the 75 service etc. I suppose in reality, a B6BLE is as good or better than a B6LE for such a purpose.

Well things get even more bizarre! Just seen a Mercedes minibus heading in to the city along West Street on Route 30 around 8pm! No destination displayed, but it looked to be at least two thirds full with passengers!

I'm starting to get the feeling that OG sends out whatever is at the front! Don't think the demand warrants much more to be fair, but sure a better attempt could be made.

A few years ago, when spuds went through their awful (well, particularly awful) reliability phase, it was common to see Merc minis and small Drats sent out on peak hour 55/57 workings. Not popular. At all.
