Thats why, 40496, you won't find a Gemini on the 67! Sorry to burst your bubble.  Actually the bus goes from Silver Jubille Close, Down thorne road, past sainsburys and on to fieldside etc etc, now digging out my special miss bus allocation tickets It has already happend! 37238 on the 17.10 Doncaster to Kirk Sandall on the 21st April 2008! Now What a Co-Incidence is that!  Getting off the 55 Gemeni Today above the driver's window it said, This bus is not sutible for Clay lane bridge on service 84.! I'm skeptical, as there is that notice! Unless it only refers to the bridge on the 84 route; not the one on the 87/88. My recollection was "... SERVICE 84 OR ANY SERVICE UNDER CLAY LANE BRIDGE...". They did look a bit tacky and home-made, though. |

Yes the notice only say's sevice 84 or avoid the bridge. The only bus services which go under the clay lane bridge are the 68,84, 89. The Gemeni busses can go 87/88.

However, I think the 84/87/88s are interworked - so they would have to be dead careful if using on the 87/88s, to pick a block which doesn't do any 84s.

[FSY] 60553 / M726 VET - 15 East Herringthorpe (Orange Line) [Rotherham] - Spotted in Rotherham Interchange at 17:23.
[SIY] 35230 / YN56 OMK - 227 Barnsley [Rotherham] - Spotted in Rotherham Interchange at 17:25 (I thought the first 227 to Barnsley was the 18:35 from Rotherham and usually run by an ALX300 or Omnidekka which interworks off the 66 at Elsecar?
[FSY] 60543 / J701 AWF - 34 Whiston (Lime Line) [Rotherham] - Spotted in Rotherham Interchange at 17:31.
Also some unidentified vehicles were a B10M on the 43A this evening and a B7L on the 33, although the latter is not really an mis allocation, more of an unusual sighting.
Also 30879 / W734 DWX broken down on Stand C2 in Rotherham Interchange, engine cover was up and a First service fan was in place, this was at around 17:20.

The first 227 to leave Rotherham for Barnsley departs at 1730 and is operated by rawmarsh, but still strange to see a dart on it.
Barnsley do operate the 1835 and it is nearly always a ALX300 now.

Sheffield today: Stagecoach 120 branded B6BLE W516CCK on 25, 52 branded DAF W474MKU on 120. YU52VYD on 52, not odd but I was thinking how good the LED blind looked until the front one flipped to a load of pixelated LEDs and then back to display, saw it do it a few times too, obviously still not right! 47/8s bunching a lot still (4 along Moorfoot in a row around lunch time!), but I spotted a few turning in city centre, so at least something is being done about it.  It's amazing how much difference the new buses make, they don't seem any more sluggish than the B7Ls on the flat at least. From hearing a few comments on passing some drivers seem to dislike them already. |

Just spotted TM's Vario ALX100 at Hilltop on the 293 (15:00 run from Sheffield). Very unusual, and probably not very good for the school run it goes onto!!
