I presume all will interwork to some extent, that way it minimises change overs in Mexborough. Interworking all 3 routes make sense to me. even though severve delays are expected? its bad enough in the morning rush hour as it is! Well put it this way the 220/221 isn't getting the stand over times that the 222 as got in its timetable, so interworking is a logical way to go. I presume extra time will be added to all 3 services by interworking them.

I believe the 85 & X57 are now interworking. Is anyone able to confirm this.

Yes it used to work with the 58. From what ive seen , the 57/58 are standalone, with the X57 interworking with the 85. I guessing any buses can be used on the 85/X57, as the X57 rarely has more than 3 passengers on it.

It was interworking with the 58 when both routes were still half-hourly, but then went to interworking with the 72 when it was slashed to hourly (which obviously it can't do any more). I guess if it ran standalone it would need two buses with too much layover to make it pay. Though I'm surprised they're still bothering with it, TM could easily kill it off with a bit of improvement to the 505.

Are the current interworking in Sheffield:
1 and 7 at Meadowhall? 11 and 12 on Snig Hill (up)? 20 and 20A at Hillsborough Interchange? 85 and X57 at Sheffield Interchange?
Are their any more interworkings in Sheffield?

In Doncaster, the 76 and 77's interwork as they use the same route in Wheatley and then branch off to either Clay Lane or Wheatley Hills. When a 76 arrives in town, it changes to a 77 and visa versa.
Not sure if the 67's still interwork with the 13/14's but im sure they did up until last year.

What do you define as "interworking"?
I would suggest that it means two or more routes where the vehicles work a journey on route 1, then route 2, 1, 2, 1, 2 etc - all day or for most of the day. There are some odd journeys - particularly in the mornings/evenings - when a bus which has been on a given route for the whole day does a trip on another - is that interworking?

Long 505s do ok, the last one from Sheffield at 15:30 does quite well because it passes the (Girls?) School near Hallamshire Hospital at kicking out time.

Are their any more interworkings in Sheffield? Can routes such as the 11 & 12 and 20 & 20A really be classed as routes that interwork? The routes are one and the same and feature as part of a co-ordinated timetable.
