Welcome to the thread & poll for the September 2010 Background Photo. We'd like to thank all members who submitted photos to us this month and to all members who have submitted photos in to us since August 2006. Sadly there can only be 6 photos that go through to the poll and these have been carefully selected by the staff members on the forum.
We would ask all members to vote in the poll so you can have your say and cast your vote for the photo which you think deserves to be placed on the background of the forum. Remember if you are a new member you will not see the background photo by default. In order to view the background photo you need to select the SYT skin in your profile.
Poll Closing Date - The Poll will be closed automatically on Monday 1st September 2010, and the new background photo will be uploaded on to the forum on that date.
How To Select - You just simply look at the numbers at the side of the photo, select your best one, out of the 6, then vote for that number in the poll. In the event of a tie, both photos will be displayed on the forum for a period of 2 weeks each.

6 Excellent photos to choose from this month and credit to all the photographors. I am voting for option 2. A great shot over Hillsborough showing 3 significantly different buses and a tram.

There was a lot more to choose from. Very hard to narrow down to just 6 this time around. I think anyone who assumed "it'll definitely be a picture of N767CKY that wins" will be thinking again - these are a great set of views and vehicles. You have bus/ tram/ train, none of the "obvious" locations, and all well taken too.
I'm going for number two, but it could easily be another.

Gone for no 5, simple because for the last two week i have been on Holiday in Lincolnshire and enjoyed traveling on some Olympians. Otherwise it would have been no 1 or 3, as the other 3 don't interest me.

Voted no 1 , On a different subject I'm guessing that Northern 144 in the background in no 4 is the one that went head to head with the wooden crossing gates

I voted for Number 1 because I like the bus being beside the canal. Having done a few Canal cruises it brought back memories. Great bus as well.
All the photos are great .
