I commute on the 218 every day apart from Sunday and hardly see anything else but a decker! So I see it as rare!

But...I think you'll find apart from 1 last Saturday, there hasn't been a solo on the 218 for 3 weeks!

[FSY/TMT]
Noticed at 20:50 a 02 reg TSY livered TM Solo going up Loxley Road on service 31 immediately followed by a FSY B7L on service 14. A rare combination!
I presume the driver of the 31 forgot that the 20:20 ex Sheffield run finishes at Hillsborough on a Saturday (FSY do an extra 14). Unfortunately for First the TM bus was the one with passengers on (guessing it got to the Wisewood/ Loxley loop first)

It's probably most helpful if folk keep bickering to PM's too, most members don't want to sift through pages of nonsense. And if the sighting isn't unusual what's the problem with a concise reason as to why, not just the usual moaning that occurs regularly.

I go out on one, come back on another, then see the third pass ours around totley! The morning one normally goes onto the 252 when it finishes in Sheffield at 1015!

The morning one normally goes onto the 252 when it finishes in Sheffield at 1015! At the last count there were upwards of 5 vehicles that work the 218 during a day. Not seeing them does not in any way mean they do not happen. TM's method of working does and has always involved vehicles staying with drivers rather than routes in most cases. This is how you can get so many different vehicles on a route that can at a glance only require 2 or 3. Remember that Leyland does actually work for TM so there is a good chance he actually knows what he is talking about.
