From TSY service disruptions:
Service 25A Sheffield - Due to a broken down bus in the Old Mother Redcap bus Turnaround, First Service 25A is subject to diversion. Towards Bradway - turning left at the Fire Station on Greenhill Parkway, then along Low Edges Road and using the Service 53/76 terminus at the Grennel Mower. Towards City - from the Grennel Mower via Low Edges Road picking up normal route at the Fire Station
Yup - First's service 25A isn't going to Bradway at all this morning, diverted to Low Edges, because one of their clapped out buses has broken down in the terminus.
Stagecoach 25 running normally.... TM Travel M17 running normally...
Just First that has let the passengers of Bradway down.

I don't see why First 25A can't go via Stagecoach 25 route. go via Prospect road and wollaton road. Simples!! I remember last year or this year when there was an accident in Chapeltown and First 75 terminated services in Ecclesfield and Stagecoach 87 went up Nether Lane to High Green.

Different operators, different inspectors/radio controllers to make decisions. "Simples!!"

I remember last year or this year when there was an accident in Chapeltown and First 75 terminated services in Ecclesfield and Stagecoach 87 went up Nether Lane to High Green. Job application in the post-what you neglect to realise is that not all the 760 drivers at Olive Grove share the same intimate knowledge of every route and every timetable as your good self, so decisions are made on common sense and minimul complications rather than "Turn left here procced to here turn right here" on a section of road never covered by Firsts network. I dont recall there being many complaints that Firsts 25As were leaving Bradway full or that the coverage and vehicle provison was far superior to Stagecoach's-so either this thread is a storm in a teacup or yet more pedantic posting stating what is already obvious=another B10L broken down (compressor) and that subject is being addressed now (5 for scrap, 1 on decision and the 8 left in service forecast for the chop around October 28/29th).

Different operators, different inspectors/radio controllers to make decisions. "Simples!!" The majority of passengers in Bradway catch Stagecoach 25 and Stagecoach have decent vehicles! And another thing when it snowed last year Stagecoach operated SL2 up to Stannington where as First 11/12 terminated at Malin Bridge. Stagecoach were a life saver when First suspened the service to Stanny. ;D

As he said among other things - the drivers did not know the alternative Stagecoach way and it may not be worth sending drivers an unknown route, potentially getting lost and causing havoc to timings.

Don't you think its a bit inconvenient for First passengers that wish to travel to Bradway?

Don't you think its a bit inconvenient for First passengers that wish to travel to Bradway? Definitely, and if it was me on that bus I'd be a bit annoyed - however if the driver's don't know the alternative way it could cause some problems with getting lost and as I said, that could easily cause timetable problems. I'm sure there are other contributing factors too. I'm sure the decision was made carefully - the annoying bit is that the B10L has broken down and caused these problems!

It depends if there is no gap then like you said this could cause issues for reliabilty. Look on the brightside they'll be going soon. Withdrawn like the Captain said.
I'm glad to see more decent buses at OG. 51 Charnock service is getting an upgrade. I've seen some pics on Facebook and they look nice.

If the tram went up Stannington then it would of been able to run in the snow, getting through snow is the one advantage which I see with the tram over buses.
