Newly repainted 30880 Swallownest today Looks smart - but looks can be deceiving! In 30880's case I think they will be decieving! Great pic the LED blind is a nice addition to these things! 30880's gearbox has been on the verge of giving up for a while now, on the rear O/S wheel arch has some horrible noises coming from it! (before it went in for paint anyway)

(before it went in for paint anyway) I agree, 30880 has never been Rotherham's most popular bus but it did go better after having work done on the engine, just the gearbox the problem now. However 30878 over-revs highly but is probably the best performer of the lot.

It 'goes' a bit better than before, the engine work you mention and what sounds to be a new turbo. Rear O/S arch still rattles though on taking power! 30880 and 30846 (on 52) both had a run from standing at traffic lights, up hill to Handsworth Top. 30880 was going for it, but still slower than 30846. Engine work has helped a bit compared to before then!

Looks pretty smart in the new livery. The addition of LED blinds makes it look newer than it is.

Looks smart - but looks can be deceiving! Now referred to as the polished turd. Just goes to show that you can polish a turd, but no matter what you can't change the fact that it's still a turd!!!
