The outcome is that the matter will be debated by a full Council meeting early in March. Whatever happens, it's still in the hands of Peel, who must decide if they are interested in selling. Sheffield Council are being asked to use their influence to suspend any building works until such time has the matter of viability can be subjected to close scrutiny and by an independent body.
Should Peel decide to sell it would be irrelevant since a private investor would take on all the financial risk.
