Posts: 980	September 2018 Service Changes Jul 18, 2018 17:00:42 GMT dougie likes this Quote Select Post Deselect Post Link to Post Member Give Gift Back to Top Post by gct15513 on Jul 18, 2018 17:00:42 GMT Service Changes from Sunday 2nd September 2018 for Stagecoach in Chesterfield if anyone is interested: Service 10 Chesterfield – Newbold (Dunston) Circular • The Monday to Saturday 10 minute daytime frequency will be restored. • Early morning and evening journeys will be slightly retimed to allow improved connections with services 80, 82 and 83 between Chesterfield and Calow Royal Hospital. • There will also be some minor timetable changes during Monday to Saturday afternoons. • The Sunday evening timetable will be revised in line with Monday to Saturday. Service X17 Matlock – Chesterfield – Sheffield – Meadowhall – Barnsley • An additional Monday to Friday journey will operate from Sheffield to Chesterfield at 1705. • The 1612 Monday to Friday journey from Barnsley to Holymoorside will now depart Barnsley at 1615, Meadowhall at 1650 and Sheffield Interchange at 1725. Service 25 Chesterfield – New Whittington • Minor timetable changes during the afternoon peak and on Saturdays to improve punctuality and co-ordination with other services along Whittington Moor. • Evening and Sunday short journeys on service 50 between Chesterfield, Stone Lane and New Whittington will be re-numbered 25A. • The Sunday 25A timetable will provide a co-ordinated 20 minute service between Chesterfield and Whittington Moor with buses on services 43 and 50. • There are no other changes to service 25. Service 43 Chesterfield – Unstone – Dronfield Woodhouse – Sheffield • The Sunday timetable will be revised to provide a co-ordinated 20 minute service between Chesterfield and Whittington Moor with buses on services 25A and 50. • There are no other changes to service 43. Services 50/50A/50B Chesterfield – New Whittington – Eckington – Mosborough – Sheffield • This service will be operated by Stagecoach Gold buses featuring extra leg room, high back leather seats and free wi-fi alongside specially trained, dedicated drivers. • To speed your journey, buses will operate on a Limited Stop basis between Birley and Sheffield where other Stagecoach buses provide a frequent stopping service for local journeys. • Buses into Sheffield will also drop off on Commercial Street prior to Sheffield Interchange for that extra convenient access to the City Centre. • There will be some minor Monday to Saturday timetable changes to improve punctuality. • The Sunday timetable will be revised to provide a co-ordinated 20 minute service between Chesterfield and Whittington Moor with buses on services 25A and 43. Service 51 Chesterfield – Tupton – Holmegate – Clay Cross - Danesmoor • There will be some minor timetable changes, particularly during the morning peak on Mondays to Fridays to improve punctuality and reliability. • The 1445 and 1505 journeys from Chesterfield to Danesmoor on Mondays to Fridays, will operate five minutes earlier to allow increased recovery time in Clay Cross to take into account delays around Tupton Hall School. Service 54 Chesterfield – North Wingfield – Clay Cross – Alfreton – Designer Outlet • There will be some minor timetable changes, particularly during the morning and afternoon peak on Mondays to Fridays to improve punctuality and reliability. • The 0744 Monday to Friday journey from the East Midlands Designer Outlet will now depart at 0737 and operate via Pinxton (West End), South Normanton (The Common) and Alfreton Railway Station before picking up the existing route and timetable from Alfreton Bus Station. This bus will display X54 and will not serve the stops near the Watchorn Church. • The 1647 Monday to Friday journey from Chesterfield to the East Midlands Designer Outlet will now depart at 1707 and will additionally serve Alfreton Railway Station, South Normanton (The Common) and Pinxton (West End) between Alfreton Bus Station and the East Midlands Designer Outlet. This bus will display X54 and will not serve the stops near the Watchorn Church. • The 1753 Monday to Friday journey from the East Midlands Designer Outlet to Chesterfield will now depart at 1818. Services 55/X55 Chesterfield – Wingerworth – Clay Cross – Pilsley – Alfreton – Allestree • On service 55, there will be minor timetable changes on most journeys particularly those during the mid-afternoon. • Service X55 will no longer serve Allestree, Duffield, Belper or Ambergate. Buses will now commence at Heanor Tesco and operate via Codnor, Nottingham Road, Ripley, Swanwick, Leabrooks Corner and Somercotes before joining the existing route in Alfreton Bus Station through to Chesterfield. The afternoon journey will follow the same route in reverse. Services 56/X56 Chesterfield – Williamthorpe – Pilsley – Designer Outlet – Alfreton / Heanor • Service X56 will be withdrawn and replaced by new service X54 and changes to service X55. • Heanor, Codnor, Leabrooks Corner and Somercotes will be served by revised service X55. • Pinxton (West End) and South Normanton (The Common) will be served by new service X54. • Riddings, Golden Valley and Selston will no longer be served. • There are no changes to service 56. Service 70/70A Chesterfield – Mastin Moor – Renishaw – Eckington – Killamarsh • There will be some minor timetable changes on service 70 to improve punctuality and reliability. • There are no other changes to service 70A. Services 71/71A/72 Chesterfield – Mastin Moor – Renishaw – Killamarsh – Crystal Peaks – Sheffield • The 1810 service 72 journey from Sheffield will terminate on Cavendish Street in Chesterfield. • The 1900 service 72 journey from Sheffield will depart at 1910 and operate later throughout. • The Sunday 71/71A timetable will be revised to provide a co-ordinated service between Mosborough and Sheffield on service 50 which will also operate to a revised timetable. Service 77 Chesterfield – Mastin Moor – Clowne – Creswell – Whitwell – Worksop • Buses will no longer serve the Baker Street, Portland Hotel or Regors Bingo stops in Creswell, therefore avoiding the low bridges to allow the introduction of more modern double deck vehicles on this service. • Buses will operate to and from Creswell (Bullivant Avenue Turning Area) via Hazelmere Road, Skinner Street and Elmton Road in both directions. • The 0737 Monday to Friday journey from Clowne to Chesterfield will now start from Barlborough at 0746. • The 1624 College Days only duplicate journey from Chesterfield to Clowne will be withdrawn. Service 80 Chesterfield – Spital – Hady – Calow Royal Hospital – Brimington Common • After 1520 hours from Chesterfield on Mondays to Saturdays, buses will generally operate later than before to improve punctuality and reliability. Services 82/82A/83 Chesterfield – Calow Royal Hospital – Bolsover – Hillstown – Shirebrook – Langwith • There will be some minor timetable changes, particularly during the morning and afternoon peak on Mondays to Fridays to improve punctuality and reliability. • Service 82A will be withdrawn but replaced by additional journeys on Service 82. Palterton will therefore no longer be served. Service 91 Chesterfield – Brampton – Holymoorside • Sunday evening journeys will depart Chesterfield, Stephenson Place at 1920 and 2220 returning from Holymoorside at 1939 and 2239 respectively.

All its done since 2012 when it was invented is cause so much destruction to bus services There is only one reason that there is a bus partnership and that is SYPTE who are on crusade to batter bus companies to the point where they would actually welcome franchising. It was proven recently that franchising outside a conurbation like London is unlikely to work with the fiasco when Nexus tried to get the powers to introduce it in tyne & Wear. It was established that fares would have to rise significantly and services would have to be reduced in order to use the available funds. Given the ability of any PTE to run to a budget it would almost certainly end in tears. but. in the meantime we will have to put up with these ill thought out schemes that are only of benefit to SYPTE. not the operators and certainly not the passengers. Both of them are mere instruments to use in the PTE's quest for more and more power to abuse.

Also saves RMBC actually doing something for the congestion for public transport at Parkgate, too. Useless bloody council.
