60640 broke down this afternoon on Canklow Road whilst working a 32 to Sheffield. Driver mentioned there were 2 warning lights that came up on the dashboard, one for the gearbox and the other which he didn't know, showing a symbol of fire on. Radio Control told him to isolate the vehicle and get the passengers off. It was gone an hour later, so they must have been quick on the scene, unless the Canklow mob got there first and its now in the back of someones back garden, burnt to a crisp ;D Fire alarms being set off is a quite common fault-usually the sensor has been knocked either by steam cleaning or some other work in the engine bay so it points directly at the turbo or exhaust manifolds which get very hot. Gearbox temp gauges are 99% of time electrical faults, the bus would not drive smoothly and smell of sweet oil if the gearbox was overheating or faulty.

37147 has the hazard lights on this morning with the engine switched off on stand B1 in Rotherham Interchange. Assume it was working an X78 and pulled out of the way to not affect any other X78s?
Spotted in Rotherham Interchange @ 8:31am.

An Olympian had broken down right outside Doncaster station entrance today - most convenient at rush hour!
EDIT: Apologies - it was actually about midday I saw it broken down. I've been down that route several times today and forgot when it was I saw it!
