Thrown Alternator belt-running on Battery power only. Another technical question. What does the alternator belt do? The belt goes from the engine crank pulley to the alternator pulley so as when the engine turns the belt turns which then turns the alternator pulley creating electricity for the batteries and vehicle electrical systems. Cars are the same. The belt alone costs £85 maybe more now.

Veolia YX09 HYY / 0911 broke down in the middle of A Runway in Rotherham Interchange today, just over the main crossing, meaning nothing could get in or out. This was at 1.28pm. However, it was gone by the time I returned at 1.56pm.

Saw Stagecoach Sheffield 22637 (YN08 JGF) on the 52 earlier with it's hazards on at a bus stop on West Street, but it's engine was still running, so not sure what's happened there..

60763 was displaying 'Private' at Fitzallen Square with the hazards on, when I passed by at around 5.03pm this evening. Was still there when I passed by at 5.17pm, though, 60691 had just arrived behind it, also with the hazards on. Any explanation? There were no passengers around at both the times that I saw 60763.
