Welcome to the thread & poll for the January 2010 Background Photo. We'd like to thank all members who submitted photos to us this month and to all members who have submitted photos in to us since August 2006. Sadly there can only be 6 photos that go through to the poll and these have been carefully selected by the staff members on the forum.
We would ask all members to vote in the poll so you can have your say and cast your vote for the photo which you think deserves to be placed on the background of the forum. Remember if you are a new member you will not see the background photo by default. In order to view the background photo you need to select the SYT skin in your profile.
Poll Closing Date - The Poll will be closed automatically on Friday 1st January 2010, and the new background photo will be uploaded on to the forum on that date.
How To Select - You just simply look at the numbers at the side of the photo, select your best one, out of the 6, then vote for that number in the poll. In the event of a tie, both photos will be displayed on the forum for a period of 2 weeks each.
We would also like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for your continued support in making the forum what it is today. We also wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Six very good pictures- a nice mix of the everyday, the unusual (e.g. Silverlink liveried train), the soon to be unusual (53 plate Gemini on the Orange line), the modern and the older. And lots and lots of snow (even Pacers look good in the snow)!
Personally, I've chosen number one (everyday scene from an unusual angle - the cafe at TJ Hughes?), but I'd be happy with whatever won - well done to all of the cameramen/ women.

Very tough choice, though due to the different modes and operators and the unusual angle, it has to be Option 1 for me this month.

A difficult choice and nice to see some trains amongst the selection. I'm tied equally between one (the angle) and two (the setting), but I've gone for one as I think more people will vote for two because it is snowy.
