Are any users on the forum currently using Opera 10 and if so are you also experiencing some lagging when on the forum, I have to constantly keep pressing the "Stop" button at the top, to stop loading the page and then continue to use the forum. Not sure if this is a problem with my PC or Internet connection of whether it is a problem with the forums software?
Having to use MSIE 7 at the minute, which I hate to the back teeth, as Opera 10 is just about unusable at the minute. Seems to be taking an age loading something, the only thing I can think that it may be is the adverts on the forum, as all the content for the forum loads up instantly, as do all the graphics.
It is Opera 10.50 which I'm experiancing these problems with. It could just be a bug with the browser, given Opera 10 hasn't been out that long. Already sent off a message to Opera about it, to further investigate this matter.

This is more than likely a bug with the browser in question. If the problem persists and it just affects this site, then please not only contact Opera regarding this issue, but also get in touch with ProBoards (the folks who software runs the forum).

I have stopped using Opera (version 10.10, which Opera's auto updates tells me is the latest version) for the very reason you highlight, tmt. It never finished loading a page, with the consequent need to hit "stop" frequently as the page failed to load completely. As soon as I found that the problem didn't occur with Firefox and Sea Monkey I started using them instead.

How long have the both of you been experiencing these problems with Opera 10 on the forum, may I ask?
I'm also aware that this problem/bug of the page hanging on the forum, may also be affecting Google Chrome too, although with Google Chrome the pages load all correct, so the page hanging really goes unnoticed as such.

I think I have had this problem ever since joining in September last year, which is why I quickly switched to using Sea Monkey, and now Firefox. I occasionally try Opera 10.10, and always get the same problem. This forum appears to be the only discussion board which has this problem.

Thanks for the response Madannie77. I believe I've identified the source now, so will be looking at getting this fixed over the next few days.

Believe I've now rectified the problem regarding the page hanging on the forum with Opera 10 / Google Chrome. Can any members please confirm if this is the case and also let me know if you are still continuing to have problems.
The source of the problem has been identified as a null code, for our website tracker.

Still got the same problem of "hanging" in opera 10.10: I had forgotten how irritating it was!

It's a lot better now: it loads more slowly than in Firefox, but the loading of each page is complete except for the main forum page. When return to the main forum page it always "hangs".
edit: a bit more, after trying out Opera a bit more:
not sure the speed of loading a page completely is always slower than Firefox - some pages seem to load almost instantaneously, some seem a lot slower. Comparing with other forums suggests it is not caused by my connection, however.

Another update on Opera 10.10: this morning the loading is really quick, except for when returning to the main forum page. If left long enough, this page now fully loads,. but it takes a long time compared to every other page on the forum.

Thanks for the updates Madannie77. I've found the source of the problem, it was 2 conflicting codes. Should now work perfectly once again.

Now works ok for me, still a little slow at loading compared to IE, but at least it works now. Can revert to using Opera 10.50 now. Thanks for sorting out the problem.
