Interesting picture jimmy.
I think all the G and H reg Dodges are all long gone.
Think there are 2 or 3 of the earlier batch still around.
Possibly 101, 150(see SYT61 thread) and 165.

O god No please say No , dont think my heart will stand chasing a eager beaver , it was bad enough chasing a transit.

I recall 349 as well. I think it was in non-psv use with someone.
I think it has now been scrapped.

Dreadful heaps of scrap probably the worst buses ever to operate in Sheffield What was wrong with them - speed/reliability issues? I'm too young to have ever seen these buses.

Where shall we start?. Grossly underpowered. Hit and miss brakes on the early versions which needed a reline and new discs after a week!. Noisy/vibrating/draughty. Ok ride at the front, poor beggers sat at back had the wind knocked out of them on every rough road. Cab seat sat too low down- nowhere to duck or escape on 10/11/25s etc if a passenger turned on you. Left leg prone to being burnt in summer, both legs and face prone to frostbite in winter. Gearboxes either packed up loudly and suddenly or just stuck in a gear and refused to move. driving them as a semi auto was the only way to get any decent revs out of the pathetic Perkins engine. Electrical arcing/smoking/failures all too common. 12 volt electrical system at odds wit the rest of the fleet (24v). Other than that-fabulous! ;D

I remember them & i agree with the ride aspects. Definately depended where you sat as to whether it was any good.

I remember a few 'smoking' incidents. I was once route learning in one, and the driver was thrashing it with no mercy. Smoke was slowly starting to rise from the engine cover! E245BCT - that one really took the biscuit! This was the slowest bus I have ever driven! It was truly shocking! Love them or loath them, they are part of our transport history though, and if someone wanted to get one, I would welcome it! ;D

I remember them on 13/14. Power was pathetic up Dykes Hall Road although the B6LE Crusaders came close.
