Remember them doubling up as sardine cans on the 52, I think the whole population along that route breathed a collective sigh of relief when the G-NWA B10Ms took over from them.
They were indeed good fun on the 13/14, remember many a trip where you were sat on the back row and hanging on for dear life going down Dykes Hall Road, especially if the driver was running late. When the B6 'Crusaders' started on the route, I thought it was a huge improvement, but I quickly discovered that I was wrong. The only good thing about them was the fact that they were bigger, and low-floor.. I know the B7Ls get some stick on here, but at least they make the climb up from Hillsborough to Wisewood School with ease, and don't lurch around a lot like the B6s did, big improvement over their predecessors.

Are they those awful minibuses that used to be on the 123 in Rotherham?

When i drove them, believe me they were hot,hot hot!!! And the little 12 volt fans, well they just blew the hot air in the drivers face and were a total waste of time. Sitting above the engine never appealed, only in winter.lol
Also worth noting was the amount of times they ran out of fuel on the last trip, never a good thing if the driver was wanting to catch the staff bus home!!! lol

lol at the above comments. I am really surprised i never got reported,or maybe i did but never knew it. Always foot down flat out for the full journey if possible, just to get time for a cig in Pond Street.
The seats could no way support 2 adults with average sized rumps, and the people trying to walk down the isles hitting everybody elses knee caps to get off, plus the obligatory shopping trollies that the old dears always carried, but never had the luggage space for them.
Great memories of driving the "bread vans",and there was always the dig at the decker drivers, that we Beaver Men carried more passengers per mile than they did always got them riled up for some reason.
