Didn't even know that FSY had lost any of their batch of Scania Ultralow's. You learn something new everyday!

ALX 31136 has never been a FSY bus. That was the one diverted to Bristol wasn't it?

Thanks Captain for posting the video. The registration is what got me confused with the FWY batch.
60406 all the Ultralow's were supposed to go to Essex but i think they were not impressed with them so the move was halted leaving the one N-MWY (60760) & all of FSY's P-GLS versions.

The ones that didnt return to FSY got scattered with PMT taking nearly all, at least one made it to Edinburgh N409ENW: www.flickr.com/photos/mse062/3958480047/Quite ironic Ipswich rejected these buses with the reputation First Eastern has now got.

I believe so, however moved before the 5-digit numbering system came into place. Not so sure myself, the batch continued into MV02VE-, which also never made it to SY. They were all initially allocated to First Manchester (Oldham) for the Commonwealth Games, but were quickly moved on afterwards - they spent less than a month there? Hence the Manchester registration. The 75 B7Ls were split 50 to Sheffield and 25 to Northampton. Whilst the Games were on the 10 R...WKW B10BLEs were loaned to Northampton to allow the native Scanias to be loaned to Leicester to allow their B7Ls to be loaned to Manchester for the Games.

I remember the B10BLE's going to Northampton on loan, didn't First send them with their 22 branding still on them?

I remember the B10BLE's going to Northampton on loan, didn't First send them with their 22 branding still on them? It was prior to the branding, and just after they had been painted into B1 livery at Optare.
