I remember the B10BLE's going to Northampton on loan, didn't First send them with their 22 branding still on them? It was prior to the branding, and just after they had been painted into B1 livery at Optare. I seem to recall some did run with branding.

Has anyone a picture of the seemingly very elusive B10M which was known in Mainline money as 747 (N247CKY)? Can't seem to find one anywhere, either in SY or Scotland..
Speaking of them B10Ms, I remember well 757 getting stuck in waist-deep water on Middlewood road (outside the row of takeaways between Leppings Lane and Catch Bar Lane) after getting caught in a flash flood one afternoon while on a run out to Stocksbridge.. I can only imagine it was a Sunday as Im pretty certain the N-CKYs only ventured out there on Sundays back then. It never seemed to sound the same as the others after that incident.

The worst vehicles ever made. I thought they were pretty strange to drive myself, being a little bloke it felt like I was driving a tank. Also had a good turn of speed once you'd got the things rolling. First time I ever drove one I was amazed at how slow they pulled off, but as I say got it rolling on the way to Leeds and was very speedy. ;D

Yes only drove the N Reg, one night to Leeds. Left Bus station to fill it up and went over the Railway crossing and was bounced up and down in the drivers seat.
It was slow to pull away, but once you got on the main road between Notton turn off and Newmilladam, yes it would really motor.
I seem to remember they had problem with the battery on them, as it ran on Car Batterys and not Heavy duty ones, i seem to remember it breaking down in Leeds bus station more then once because of this and had a sign in the cab.
