Profile - Modify Profile - scroll down to Account preferences - Select skin.

Change your skin setting from 'SYT' to 'Default' and then click Apply. Likewise if you do not have the background currently enabled but wish to do so, apply the same operation in reverse.
SYT = Background Default = No Background

Rather than this, would there be a way to change the background on the text "South Yorkshire Transport Forum :: South Yorkshire Transport Forum Information :: South Yorkshire Transport Forum Information :: Feedback :: How to turn off Background picture altogether" so the links can be viewed even with the background on?

Sadly not I'm afraid, there is no facility/function to carry out this process at present. Sorry about this. Thanks, Staff at South Yorkshire Transport

Would changing the colour of the text for the forum links to a clashing colour each time the photo changes be a suitable method, or would it change the colour of all linked text on the forum?

Afraid not ateam, as that would affect all the links across the forum sadly.

Would it not be possible to move these links elsewhere, such as into the main table below the forum logo to address this problem?
