An amazing day out. Queued for three hours in traffic to get to the car park and managed to burn my nose!
The highlight for me by far was seeing the Vulcan, what a sight and what a noise, a stunning experience. Its something that everyone should see.
The F16 Thunderbirds were also amazing, even though the first half of their display was from the car! I think they made everybody's eardrums rattle.
The Red Arrows were another favourite and I really enjoyed the Hawker Hunter display team, whilst they display is a lot slower and more docile than the F16's and the Red Arrows, it made up for it with the individual colour schemes and the fabulous, almost smooth noise from the engines.
I will be back next year, with a tent, bbq and copious amounts of ale!
I took some photo's, but only with a point and shoot so the active display shots are a little distant, but took plenty of the static aircraft. If I can work out how to get them on here then I will post a few.

Not been for a fair few years now (2003), but had heard from a few people that went last weekend that it was a great day out once again. Its amazing to think just how big the place is, and that's just where the stalls are located at the side of the main runway (or that is where it was located the last time we went).

Good pics Andy. Do they still let people sit in the cockpits of some of the jets at the side of the main runway? Been years since we last went. Looks like its still as good as ever though.

We also went last weekend and have to say it was one of the best ones yet, this years event. Well worth the visit, just the traffic that was a problem actually getting into the RAF base.
