Vulcan Bomber XH558 was forced to make an emergency landing at Coningsby this afternoon due to a suspected Hydraulic problem.
Here is a short video i took of it leaving Doncaster 35 mins before the problem arose....
She was heading for Dunsfold wings and wheels event in surrey but a warning light came on as she did a practice display at Cottesmore, initially they requested a return to Doncaster but decided on a closer alternative, they had to fly past the tower first to confirm the wheels were down.

There's more news from DSA about a pensioned off ex Cold War bomber than about passenger or freight carrying civil aviation....It's a bit like having the rail section having 'nowt but news about the Flying Scotsman!

Just an observation that news about an old Vulcan bomber seems to be about the only newsworthy item coming out of DSA lately. Have a look at the other DSA dedicated sites!

This news hasnt come out of DSA tho its what I heard on the scanner after watching her leave from Doncaster yesterday. Investigations are still going ahead to see what the problem was/is.
