Hello Everybody, I have sent my UCAS form of for studying Primary Education in 2012. My top 5 are:
-> Northumbria (Coach Lane Campus)
-> Edge Hill (Ormskirk Campus)
-> Cumbria (Carlisle Campus)
-> Hull (Scarborough Campus)
-> Bishop Grosseteste (Lincoln Campus)
I am wondering what these places are like for bus services and companies etc so I can start searching for areas with good job opportunities.

Just sent mine off mate on Friday. I'm wanting to do Marketing, Business and Computing at different universities that are listed below as well as matching them in Joint Honours.
Mine are as follows in this order.
Derby
Nottingham Trent
Sheffield Hallam
Newcastle
Manchester Metropolitan
As for your choices I'd say that there is going to be a reasonable level of bus services especially Lincoln and Hull.
Good luck with your application!

Good Luck to you too, I know Lincoln is mainly Stagecoach and that Scarborough is EYMS, I'm mainly stuck on my other 3 choices

Newcastle has Stagecoach, Go Ahead and Arriva and has pretty intensive service levels on some routes.
Carlisle is predominantly Stagecoach, and for the last year Reays have been running local services in competition: whether they will be doing so by this time next year is another matter.

Looking at the universities that I've chosen, it seems that I've got a large range of destinations and a range of student deals. Perfect!
Derby
Arriva - reasonable range of destinations. Not sure on student deals. Trent Barton - Large range of destinations from Manchester to Liecester. MANGO smartcard gives students 35% off adult fares. Notts&Derby - services 5&6 serve the City Centre/Train Station every 5-10 minutes with student flat fare.
Nottingham
Trent Barton - MANGO smartcard gives 35% off cash fares. NCT - Large range of destinations with student fares.
Sheffield Hallam
First - 50p selected routes. Student week/month/term tickets available. Stagecoach - 50p on all routes. Student week/month/term tickets available - tram can be used. TM Travel - 50p flat fare available.
Newcastle
Arriva / Go Ahead / Stagecoach - large range of destinations with student fares available.
Manchester
First / Stagecoach / Magicbus - large range of destinations and student fares avalible.

Stagecoach - 50p on all routes. Student week/month/term tickets available - tram can be used. Only in Sheffield. For example you can use 50p student fare on X17 but only to Meadowhead, and you can use 50p student fare on 265 but only to Chapeltown.

Also use as far as Three Find Pub in Dronfield on 43/44/44A (old Hallowes PH) and to Hallowes estate on 293 (43A).
