The on-board announcements are for the benefit of the many people who either don't travel regularly on Supertram or are strangers to the City. You obviously like travelling in the "dark" and won't like the feature on trains but thousands do appreciate the information. Since most tram journeys I have been on I have been one of 2 or 3 passengers it seems a bit wasted. I do know that the trips to the chav creche gets busy but they know where they are going. My friend who is totally blind uses an ipod on the tram as the announcements cause him to lose concentration and lose his bearings. I personally have enough nouse to work out where I am. Lets just dumb down for the window lickers. I'm guessing you've only travelled on very early morning or late night trams then? I've only seen one instance during the day (except for the purple route) where I've had an empty tram. Even at nights all of the trams get busy. Rather than dumbing down for the "window lickers", how about we dumb down for you...

123 failed at Birley Ln due to lack of air towed back to depot by 106 which was on driver training duty , curious to know if they used the closed section of the delta or did they reverse at Cathedral and then push 123 back to depot?

Not closed is it? Can't turn a double at Cathedral anyway, you'd be 'wrong lining' up the road due to the extra unit.

They had road cones in the center of the running tracks. A lot can happen in a fortnight though. I did notice at the time that they seem to have removed the leaning pole and restrung the overheads with extra span wires. The pole was laid alongside the tracks. Regards, Darren.

Not really a Disruption, but an Inconvenience for Herdings Park:- from www.supertram.comLatest from Supertram 29-10-2014 - Extra Services for After Dark and Disney on Ice Extra Services for After Dark and Disney on Ice - Wednesday 5 November. The annual fireworks spectacular at Don Valley Bowl takes places on Wednesday 5 November. On the same date, Disney on Ice also opens at the Motorpoint Arena. To help you get there quickly and efficiently, we'll be running extra trams between the City Centre and Meadowhall throughout the evening. We expect trams to be very busy so please make sure you leave plenty of time for your journey! Our usual range of great value tickets will be available, including our fantastic Family Dayrider - 2 adults and 3 children can travel all day for just £8.50. Even better, this ticket is also valid on Stagecoach bus services throughout South and West Yorkshire too so why not make a day of it? Please be aware that for safety reasons, trams will not serve Attercliffe tram stop travelling towards the City Centre after 9pm. To avoid congestion and minimise delays to services in the City Centre, Purple route services will be amended between approximately 5pm and 8pm with a shuttle service replacing trams between Gleadless Townend and Herdings Park. Customers for Herdings should use the Blue route to Gleadless Townend where the shuttle bus will operate from the stop opposite Sainsbury's. The timetable for Herdings services is available here to download. downloadHerdings Park - Wednesday November 5th 17:00-20:00{199 KB)

Not sure which bus it was specifically but it was a 62-plate Enviro200 from Holbrook.

Holbrook Hybrid's 12165 and 12169 were doing the R1 Tram Replacement this morning, even though Trams were running through. It was something to do with the Overhead line works.
