Hi all, as some of you are aware i have secured D150RAK for further preservation. I have been intouch with the previous owner for years, and 150 was finally sold to me 3 weeks ago. The bus is in undercover storage in Leeds, isnt in bad shape but wont put a timescale on when it will be ready. I will keep you all posted, but it seems 150 could be the only minibus left to represent the batch 101-389

For those of you who dont know , this was a rotherham bus (it wasnt RO then !) and was then used by South Yorkshire Police for community work it lived at Atterclife police station indeed I have a shot of it in the yard.
After I talked myself into the compound !
Even though its a rotherham one we could have photo shoot on the Dronfield services !
Good luck with the reseration

I will keep you all posted, but it seems 150 could be the only minibus left to represent the batch 101-389 Did none of the 'Eager Beaver' fleet (301-389) make it into any form of storage/preservation/other further use? Honest question, I don't know the answer.

Busman I look forward to seeing that photo, I remember looking for 150 with you years ago
It's a shame a mk2 didn't survive, I heard about 349 but I assume it's long gone
217 was on eBay a few year back (also ran for Thanet) but vanished, along with 239 that was a store shed at alpha in hull
I also remember the scuds ending up at a scrap yard in knot tingley, 2 were set alight in the bushes and 3 were in skips by time I got there
There will be plenty of shots in nipper areas when 150 is tested

D150RAK heading to its new home – Special Thanks to rider leeds for waiting as I had been delayed while waiting for ambulance assitance at Huddersfield Its very odd as most people spent a lot of time waiting for little nippers – not the other way round. Ive used a NS as the other pic was a off side shot It looked very good considering
