Hi all,
Been doing a bit of research recently into Yorkshire Terrier / Andrews Sheffield Omnibus. Try to make a list of all routes operated by these companies between 1990ish to take over date. If possible could you please you include "via" places in the routes rather than just Batemoor-Ecclesfield.
Some of the recent Yorkshire Terrier ones I can re-call, correct me if I'm wrong are:
25 Woodhouse - Manor Top - City Centre - Woodseats - Bradway 52 Woodhouse - Darnall - City Centre - Crookes - Hillsborough 74 Carter Knowle Rd - City Centre - Hillsborough - High Green - Chapeltown 74A Carter Knowle Rd - City Centre - Hillsborough - High Green - Chapeltown 76 Ecclesfield - Firth Park - City Centre - Woodseats - Lowedges 120 Halfway - Crystal Peaks - City Centre - Hallamshire - Crimicar Ln 123 Crystal Peaks - Woodhouse - City Centre - Walkley
I know there was also the 72/A/B/X but can't remember full route-I do however have full timetable somewhere so will be able to source information regarding them routes from that.
Some recent ones I've found looking at flickr pictures (but not sure of full route were:
21 City Centre - Hillsborough - Stannington? 78 City Centre - Thorpe Hesley(?) - Meadowhall 94 ? - Meadowhall - Firth Park
I'd be suprised if I've included them all, if you do know any more would you please post below, or correct me with any mistakes I've made. I'm just building a route list (then will attempt to make a few fleet lists over the periods) of these 2 companies.
Thanks in advance.

94 was Low Edges to Meadowhall
72 series was Batemoor-City-Chapeltown with variations continuing to places such as Barnsley and Wath if I remember correctly.
I also recall Andrews briefly running a 97 to Totley.
Another brief Sheffield Omnibus service was the 153, a Derbyshire CC tender that ran evenings only. It ran as the 53 route Sheffield Interchange to Lowedges then continued via Bradway to Holmesfield.

If your talking about takeover date ie when Traction took over then ASO your looking at but routes of Andrews and Sheffield Omnibus as they didn't become ASO until Traction took over.

Some other routes operated by Terrier & ASO.
10 - Parson Cross - Southey Green - City - Norfolk Park - Manor Top - Darnall, sure this was the route.
78 - Sheffield - Owlerton - Grenoside - Burncross - Chapeltown - Thorpe Hesley - Droppingwell - Meadowhall.
88 was Sheffield - Thorpe Hesley via same route as 78.
76 - Burncross - Chapeltown - Ecclesfield - Sheffield Lane Top - Firth Park - City - Woodseats - Low Edges.
X7 - Sheffield - Parkway - Maltby peak hours only.
20 - Stannington - Malin Bridge - Hillsborough - Sheffield Lane Top - Wincobank - Meadowhall - Darnall - Manor Top - Gleadless - Norton - Jordanthorpe.
42 - Sheffield - Fox Hill - Grenoside.
There was a 135 between Sheffield & Herdings run by Terrier - not sue what the route was. Was this also renumbered to 35 later?
There was a 71 operated by Terrier around 1996 from Sheffield Interchange, not sure what the route was.
Terrier also operated on the 14 between Sheffield & Loxley around 1993.
The 123 went through from Crystal Peaks to Halfway in the 1990's.

The 35 ran Woodhouse - Sheffield - Heeley - Herdings, I believe the Herdings part was the same as the current 47 route, on the Woodhouse side it combined with the 25 to provide a service every 10 mins, not sure if there were any route variations on that end.
Did Terrier and ASO ever do the 42s? I can recall Andrews running on it full length to Low Edges but by the time it was ASO I thought the routes to Grenoside were the 74,78 and 88 with the Omnibus route 94 doing the southern part?
Wasn't the 71 the same as the Mainline route at the time? Did Terrier do some tendered runs on it? I seem to recall them having some involvement on a Sunday with said route, sorry if incorrect.
Terrier also for a time ran on service 126 Rotherham - Aston.

Interestingly the Terrier route was very similar to the current 14 route (Wisewood/ Loxley loop), although I think the Terrier runs ran along the full length of Rodney Hill and not along Chase Road and Hanson Road.

Sheffield Omnibus ran a 94 to Birley quite a few years ago, before the 53/93, then 94 Meadowhall-Firth Park. Yorkshire Terrier also did the 63 to Birley from Sheffield via Gleadless Common and Base Green, I think it was only Evening and sundays though.

You can add a short lived 137 Thrybergh - Rotherham service to your list too. This along with the 126 Aston - Rotherham service were the only local Rotherham routes IIRC?
