One of the more interesting new service registrations I've seen recently. From VOSA:
PB1086799/34 - DUNN MOTOR TRACTION LTD T/A YOUR BUS, HEANOR GATE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, HEANOR GATE ROAD, HEANOR, DE75 7RJ Registration Accepted Starting Point: Derby, Riverlights Bus Station Finish Point: Nottingham, Victoria Bus Station Via: Service Number: CITYLINK Service Type: Limited Stop Effective Date: 18-FEB-2013 Other Details: Mon - Sun
I guess this will be competing with Trent Barton's Red Arrow
YourBus don't seem afraid of competition - the Y28/Y36 compete with Nottingham City Transport, their 101/102 in Eastwood with Doyles, and now Citylink competing with TrentBarton

It will be interesting to see how this service performs, I presume one thing that makes the TB Red Arrow more appealing than the train for some of its passengers is the ability to connect off of a local TB service in either Nottingham or Derby with their day/week/monthly ticket (I'm guessing the location of Derby station also helps the service).
An interesting move away from competing against Nottingham City Transport on local work.

What will be interesting will be to see how TB respond to this, on the assumption YourBus will use some modern decent spec' vehicles on the route perhaps something more will be needed than end of life 'Bargain Bus' vehicles per their response to Premiere's expansion?

Quite agree Duncan and having had many dealings with red arrow over the past few years reliability is sometimes extremely bad including just abandoning the Chesterfield section when things get bad !

Seeing as though I am moving to Derby next month I am very excited about this new service. I wonder what buses they will use.

Trent Barton are seriously loosing the plot, as Alex Hornby has supposedly admitted that they FORGOT to run the scheduled Indigo journeys to Derby yesterday.

One thing that is in favour of Yourbus is that they will be using all low floor buses. It's all very well TB using coaches with occasional low floor buses when coaches aren't available, but, I've lost count of the times I've seen people with mobility difficulties struggling to get on and off of the coaches. I would have thought that TB would have learnt by now but they seem very stuck in their ways on many things and, as Duncan says, they are definitely not as good as they keep telling us and would have us believe.

This service has been reduced to every 20 minutes. also a new Y5 between Derby and Beeston every 20 minutes in competition with Trentbartons Indigo. From early August new services Y1 and Y3 will be introduced every 20 minutes in competition with Trents H1 and Ilkeston Flyer respectively....
From Septetmber Trent will fight back with improved frequencies on the H1 and Ilkeston Flyer to every 15minutes and a NEW service between Derby and Long Eaton called Zoom every 20 minutes.
LET THE BUS WARS BEGIN!

Who is providing the extra journeys and new service? Trent Barton or are they going to use Notts & Derby/ Midland General?

All Trent Barton, although one journey per hour on the Ilkeston Flyer will remain a notts and derby run as supposedly stipulated by the competition commission. 599, the bus Notts and Derby use, has however been refurbished to Trent Barton specification and drivers wear the same uniform, so don't be under the illusion that this arrangement is in Amy way similar to the 'bargain bus' fiasco!

Minor update:
Yourbus have won some tendered work from October:
- Service 113 from Belper to Ashbourne - Service 114 from Derby to Ashbourne - Swift (1 Journey) from Derby to Uttoxeter.
Also their Y5 will be extended at Peak times to Nottingham.
