Anyone know why the Geminis haven't received Sheffield branding? Is it a case of priority going on new repaints or pending route branding that isn't ready or applicable yet?

It's only the single deck repaints that haven't been getting any fleetnames for whatever reason - the ex Leeds stuff needs the fleetnames too, I'm surprised they haven't done them yet.

Thank you for your speedy response. Learned all those routes last time and they are easy to find and cover, especially the 82. 30846 was fine when it left HP, although always had a softspot for it given it was the first ALX400 into the fleet when new. They do show their age a bit though I'll admit. Its not really specific to its former location its just that Euro-2 spec B7TLs are of no use in Sheffield and breakdown more frequently with overheating/no power and anything else the drivers can find. They love the back of Sparrows wagons. Stark contrast to when they operated in Leeds then. Ok the topography is different but the ex. HP ones at HD have no problems with the hills out into the pennines. Strange this one.

Ex Bradford 30871-30880 got moved out of Sheffield to Rotherham and Doncaster along with the 3 X-reg natives 30561-30563 because they were costing more to run and a lot less reliable on the busy routes using some of Sheffields steeper roads.

2101 no, not as far as I can recall. None have moved back to Leeds. Bradford took on some Royales after becoming 100% low floor and in Leeds most of the ALX400s are now school rotas. The only predominant routes to get them are the 50/50A from Seacroft bus station to Horsforth and they sometimes stray onto the 49 Bramley Town End to Monkswood Gate service.
This will no longer be a problem when the 100+ additional vehicles arrive at Bramley during this year.
Thecaptain thank you for that bit of extra information regarding the ex Leeds/Bradford stock. Must be a timing issue down here then or the routes in question. Certainly wasn't a major factor when in Leeds.
