Just thought I'd report this...
This afternoon a Spitfire (G-RRGN) landed at EMA however whilst taxiing to the hangar, the undercarriage collapsed and damage was sustained to the underside of the aircraft. No injuries to the pilot.
EMA was officially closed for just under 3 hours with Ryanair, Flybe and Thomson diverting to Birmingham and Jet2 diverting to Leeds Bradford.

Yes, I saw that on the news. Should they uncover all the buried Spitfires in Burma then our air defences will be secure....There will be more air-worthy Spits around than Eurofighters or Tornado's...Now that's a thought! Interesting that DSA wasn't one of the diversion destinations!
