Tram 103's route colour block was seen today with the letter "Y" shown in black within the yellow rectangle on the yellow route. Presumably a way to help people identify the route who can't identify yellow, blue or purple, or read the destination.
Kind regards,
Aidan.

Slightly odd - never seen that personally and never seen it when I've been in the depot either. Will have to have a look! 103 was the one present for the contract signing photos yesterday etc and on the screen had 'Rotherham', so I presume it will have a new/updated blindset compared to the rest.
103 has always been the bugger of the fleet ever since its' rebuilding (which I helped with!) after being flooded in Hillsborough in 2011!

Yesterday was the first day it was showing a 'Y'. It had also been deep cleaned and fitted with Interior LEDs

....after being flooded in Hillsborough in 2011! Yea, I was on that tram heading to MID on that very day! I remember two gents with the laptop sighing at the readout from the TCU!! I've never seen such sudden flooding as that. Kind regards, Aidan.

Seen it today whilst in the City Centre, looks a bit differen compared to the coloured square. Wonder if it is possibly connected to the upcoming Tram replacement works along Park Grange Road.
The biggest improvement that there would be to the Supertram destination blinds is to try & stop them from going on & off all the time.

The biggest improvement that there would be to the Supertram destination blinds is to try & stop them from going on & off all the time. I've seen it too! Does look rather odd. I doubt it's to do with the replacement. I think they're taking on board comments from the colours being hard to distinguish sometimes. I've asked why the Desty's keep going on and off and there's no set answer - From what I can remember though, the theory being though that because the end/side screens, interior displays and voice announcements are all connected by the same system and the announcements done by passing set GPS points. The theory is that the front screen 'refreshes' itself (like pressing F5 on a webpage) every time the system connects to a satellite.

I am not sure where toput this, so it ended up in here-cannot find the automated announcement thread. From Tomorrow, in Relation to the Rail Replacement, there will be automated announcements regarding to change tram to bus to go to Spring Lane.
