Can we turn it round as well and find out what is the single most unreliable bus? I would think of any B6LE/B6BLE Crusader, particularly the T-JDT batch, the 02 plates at DO seem at bit better. Along with the Optare Solo's at DO and Holbrook's 61 plate E400H's. 40502 T reg isn't too bad considering it had a new engine 7 months ago. The DO Solo's are very knackered! They keep breaking down a lot.

Other vehicles i would suggest are: FIRST: SPD Darts.
STAGECOACH: B6LE Spryte's. B6BLE Sprytes. DAF Prestige 26128 (R990 FNW) - almost seemed to break down every day.

Holbrook 12091 (the reason it was swapped with 12118 for the trial, as it was the worst in Sheffield) and 32957. That thing almost had its own parking spot on the top park at one point for when it was dumped every other day.

Didn't 30846 have problems earlier this year I seem to remember it being posted in fleet that it had gearbox or turbo issues?

12089 had a battery fire, repaired at Plaxton. That one wasn't a problem reliability wise. 30846 isn't exactly unreliable it, it's just slow and dead. It plods along most places at walking places. Mainly when it gets brought in is driver complaints, i.e slow and no cab heaters.

With knackered turbos or intercoolers they just kick smoke out and don't pull, especially up hill.

later B7TL's are more reliable like the 06 plate Gemini's and B7RLE's they both have a close ratio gearbox less stress on the engines.

Theres not much stress on B7RLEs as they dont seem to like hills much-drivers hate them. 37021-37035 have had the gearboxes/ECU and Brake ECUs re-mapped for Sheffield. They climb better and stop better now.
