I assume the driver didn`t notice the points were set wrong at Town End , anybody know different ?

I presume the Tram was coming down from Herdings, was maybe due to 107 breaking down?, I know it was stood at Spring Lane most of the Day until 23:55 with a fault, when it was moved back to Herdings. Or it could have been an RTC?
