According to the Star, owing to a staff shortage there will be no service to Liverpool this Sunday....apparently, there are insufficient volunteers to man the trains.
What a way to run a public service!

My card carrying railway driver Granddad would be proud of the RMT. He always said all a Union had to do was to simply work to rule and not a wheel would turn.

A very good friend of mine who works for EMT has told me on several occasions that they have no desire to be under the control of stagecoach and will do everything in their power to bring them into disrepute. (aided by the companies own actions here). As Lysander says the simple act of working to rule can cause absolute chaos.

As Lysander says the simple act of working to rule can cause absolute chaos. If it's supported properly it can be the most effective form of action to take. If it's not 100% suported then it can be a wash out.
