TM Travel olympian R32LHK on 123 And TM wonder why they are seen as incompetent by TSY, and were getting warnings about non compliance in tenders! I think it's about time that the Traffic Commissioners were allowed to force groups to close companies or trading names down. Why should Wellglade be allowed to have (fairly) quality operations like Trent Barton & Kinch where the passengers seems to be the first priority, and then be allowed to have TM where they seem to be seen as an inconvenience. You won't see a Trent Barton driver without a uniform, or wearing a HiVis whilst driving, yet it seems to be common at TM and Notts & Derby. Trent Barton wouldn't just throw a step entry vehicle out on a low floor service, so why does TM? All these things wouldn't happen if they were told by the Traffic Commissioners that TM & Notts & Derby were being forcibly closed and all operations must in future to be operated as Trent Barton, as they wouldn't want to be seen to be diluting the good name they have built up. I would guess that most Derby area passengers using Notts & Derby services aren't even aware they are owned by the same group as Trent Barton. The groups are slowly bringing in quality buses to selected routes ie Arriva Sapphire, First Platinum, Stagecoach Gold, but surely this should be a standard not a premium service if they want to entice people onto buses.

Would certainly bring some standards to Wellglade if all operations were placed under TB, as they seem to have a high customer focus. Notts & Derby seem to be a good brand, but just need a little investment to bring them up to date - the days of B10Bs and Olympians being acceptable are running out fast. Surely there are some of the older Scanias now ready for cascade - TM & N&D would be ideal. Then again, what about all these ex London deckers sat about in dealers yards - ideal Olympian replacements - or are they waiting for some ex Lothian Tridents to become available, as most recent deckers were from there.

RO's 22 Duck 69046 on Park Square roundabout Not in Service at 15:45. Assume it was going to take up an X14.
60639 on 32's this morning showing Dovedale Road on all its morning trips. Assume therefore it came off of a 14. Driver didn't believe me when I said it was a wind blind job and that pressing buttons on the usual control won't work...
