Whilst looking on Ebay for the SYPTE timetable books I found a very odd photo for sale... www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Booth-Fisher-South-Yorkshire-Transport-AAK111T-Bus-Photo-/271815104346?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f4971575aAs Im local to the area, I know the history of Booth and Fisher with Halfway Garage which evolved into Sypte/Syt/Mainline/First and now TM Travel operate from there but wasn't the Syt red/brown/cream livery introduced in the mid-80s replacing the original Sypte brown and cream? How many buses based at Halfway in the Syt red/brown/cream era had a Syt Booth and Fisher logo? It must have been a short-lived rare sight to see one of these!

Due to a clause in the original sale of booth and fisher, the PTE had to keep the company in existence. However if it exists but is not trading, its name can be used by anyone who wants to use it. This MAY have been a move to prevent its use by another operator around the time of deregulation.
