Really enjoyed this. A credit to all involved including First who sent plenty of buses.
Spent far too much on models (though Tesco was handy for some flowers for her indoors before she notices!) and enjoyed riding some of the buses and nice to see the West Yorks gemini. Shame some of the buses in the program couldn't make it but more than enough of interest there.
Great to hear a repeat lined up and can see this going from strength to strength.

Sadly there will always be a few failures, that is unavoidable. We have already been promised some very interesting vehicles for next year. A lot more runners, a few more statics and more that have to stay under wraps. With only 10 weeks to put this together we were happy with the result but know it will be bigger and better next year. The team behind this event have many years in the hobby and have been studying the best for ideas. The biggest thing we have decided is that this event is now, and always will be an enthusiasts event. We will not dumb down and target the general public, it would be easy but would kill it, like too many rallies gave found out. Thanks to all who came along. As the saying goes. You ain't seen nothing yet.

Very creditable first event , good selection of buses but needs more local publicity . To be fair we only got the go-ahead for this 10 weeks ago. It has been a major job just getting the event on at all in that time. Radio Sheffield did feature it on their news reports during the morning and sheffield star are going to ring back Next years date is set for Sunday 14th August 2016, and with a longer lead in, local publicity will be much better, and the Sheffield Star might have rung back by then. Rather miffed to have not been able to make this event, but I am always busy with other things on the Bank Holiday weekend. Great to read that next year's will be a bit earlier in August. It is in my 2016 diary already.

Update on the Sheffield Running Day 2016. The event will now take place on August 21st not 14th as previously stated. This has been done to avoid clashing with an established local event.
