Not a single Scania anywhere . No less than 278 E400 MMCs on the way, I guess this is to clear off all the Olympians plus some early non-DDA Tridents. Very few standard E200 MMCs, not surprising given that the oldest Darts are only 12-13 years old. Interesting that they've gone for some Mercedes, 30 Sprinters. How come everything above minibus size is an ADL integral? I thought because of their common ownership with ADL that they had to order a certain percentage of non-ADL buses? This percentage seems a lot lower than usual this year? www.route-one.net/articles/Contract%20win/ADL_wins_biggest_share_of__97m_Stagecoach_order

Here's the reason as explained elsewhere.

Here's the reason as explained elsewhere. Thanks for that, but how come they didn't just order Scanias with a Cummins engine (as that is now an option for Euro 6) instead? I was actually surprised that the 30 MMC Scanias which have just been delivered didn't have Cummins engines either.

No, not necessarily. As said above, Scanias are now available with a Cummins engine for Euro 6, as well as the five cylinder 9.3 litre Scania engine.
