I heard today that this service is going to increase daytime frequency to every 20 minutes. Any truth in this?
TM are focusing on key routes such as this as opposed to contract services??

Photo of livery for vehicles on the new 30 timetable now on TM Travel homepage www.tmtravel.co.uk/Timetable also updated for the start of the new schedule. However, this appears to have been uploaded as a spreadsheet file, clearly in mistake, and is not easily readable at present.

Yet another strange twist in the ongoing saga that is TM Travel, cant really see the point in creasing the frequency to 20 minutes other than to help improve punctuality at peak times. Pretty much no need for it during the rest of the day. This does however divert attention that the 218 has been somewhat neglected over the past few years, the companies business model now seems to be to take aging buses give them a lick of paint and try to convince the public that they are a massive investment for the route. I doubt very much that there will be any further fleet investment for new vehicles and we will continue to see a continuation of cascaded vehicles from within the group.
On the down side, the 20 minute frequency was no use to the members of the public that were left stranded after TM decided to close their depot at 8pm due to snow, this was despite the fact that other operators continued so put out some sort of service, are there no main roads in the halfway area?.
I wouldn't like to think I was on the O licence with their current performance.

I also noted that during the snow period in the daytime the service 32 which is shared between TM and SCT was cancelled by TM whilst SCT ran their 32, all be it with a diversion and a later start time from memory. When I contacted TM about this, I was told buses were coming off the road two hours later at 6pm anyway.TM's 32 had been suspended all day as far as I could see. Make of that what you will.

Maybe TM couldn’t get any buses out of the depot?
