On College days certain journeys replaced by new service 2c (see below). Service 2c Castleton – Green Farm – Chesterfield New College Days only service replacing service C1 which is withdrawn. Service operates via C1 route between Castleton and Brookfield School then via Storrs Road, Loundsley Green Road, Green Farm and Newbold Back Lane, partially replacing some journeys on Service 2 and 2a. Service 10 Chesterfield – Newbold Circular Minor changes to afternoon timetable on M-F between 1530 and 1600. Service 39 Holme Hall – Chesterfield - Grangewood The M-F daytime frequency will be every 12 mins. Saturday daytime frequency will be every 15 mins. Service 44 Chesterfield – Sheffield On M-F, the 0800 Chesterfield to Sheepbridge is withdrawn. The 1745 M-F and 1735 Saturday journeys from Chesterfield to Sheffield will terminate at Jordanthorpe. Service 54 Chesterfield – Clay Cross – Alfreton – East Midlands Designer Outlet On Monday to Saturday daytimes, one journey per hour is extended from Clay Cross via Stretton, Mickey, Higham, Shirland, Alfreton then direct via A38 to East Midlands Designer Outlet. There are also some minor timetable changes. Service 55 Chesterfield – Alfreton Some minor timetable changes on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon journeys reduced to hourly between Chesterfield and Clay Cross. Sunday daytime journeys will now be provided on service 55a with some additional journeys provided. Service 56 Chesterfield – Alfreton Outbound journeys from Chesterfield will operate as now to Blackwell then via East Midlands Designer Outlet and direct via A38 to Alfreton, then returning to Chesterfield via current route. There are some timetable changes as a result. Service C1 Castleton – Chesterfield Service withdrawn and replaced by new service 2c (please see above). Traction service changes from 28 April 2018 Service X20 Barnsley – Manvers – Doncaster Minor timetable changes to improve punctuality. Service 22x Rotherham – Wath – Barnsley The 0522 Wombwell to Rotherham M-F journey is extended back to commence from Barnsley at 0505, replacing the 0500 Barnsley – Cortonwood service 222 journey. Service 27 Barnsley – Wombwell Minor retiming of 0700 M-F ex Wombwell and one Saturday morning journey between Grimethorpe and Cudworth. Service 59 Barnsley – Wakefield Monday to Saturday daytime frequency between Royston and Wakefield increased to operate every 30 minutes, hourly via Summer Lane (both directions). Evening/Sundays journeys that currently operate via Summer Lane will continue to operate the same route as now. Service X65 Barnsley – Meadowhall The Saturday and school holiday frequency is reduced to hourly. Service 66 Barnsley – Hoyland – Elsecar Monday – Friday daytime frequency reduced to operate every 12 minutes. Service N66 Barnsley – Hoyland – Elsecar Service withdrawn due to reducing passenger numbers. Services 67 67a Barnsley – Wombwell Minor retiming of journeys to improve accessibility for Kirk Balk School. The 0735 ex Wombwell will depart at 0730 and the 1405 ex Wombwell will operate at 1415. Service 208 Rotherham – XPO Logistics – Grimethorpe Minor timetable changes to improve punctuality. Rotherham Interchange All services using Rotherham Interchange (8, 8a, 9, 22x, 44, 106, 217, 218 and 221) are rerouted to a temporary interchange at Forge Island with no changes to timetables whilst the Interchange is closed for renovation for 12 months.

Some of this starts in may rather than April so if this should have a separate thread let me know. "We have today received confirmation that: Following retendering, Rawmarsh have retained the tender for their evening journeys on service 218. Chesterfield depot have gained the Derbyshire tender for Matlock town services M1/M4. This will use one bus and run Monday to Friday only. Holbrook have also gained a Derbyshire tender, for services 73/74 (Crystal Peaks - Clowne), 75 (Clowne town service) and school service 130 (High Lane - Eckington School). This uses one bus and will run Mondays to Saturdays. The Derbyshire tenders both start on 29 May 2018 and will run initially until 27 October 2018, although they may be extended. Also, we understand that most of the Yorkshire Tiger tendered work in South Yorkshire (everything apart from the 92 to Cawthorne) is being retendered from September 2018."

For the first time yesterday I saw one with 2 passengers, this is a major improvement as previously I had only seen them with 1 or 0.

I was stunned it had 6/7 passengers on had to look twice first time I've seen one with more than 2 passengers on. Anytime I've seen them it's between 0-2 passengers.

The new timetable states that there is a 19B, yet this is absent within the timings section of the timetable. Also, several 19 services terminating at Thurcroft during the daytime.

The argument used when the X78 was routed round there about the folks on Meadowbank road was that the distance is very short works just as well in reverse. The serious parking issues that were know about were ignored as there seemed to be a desire at that time to slow down the service in order to make another route look more attractive. This even extended to the falsification of journey times on bus station departure boards. It would appear the desired effect has been achieved so normal service can resume.

One of their very few gains, having lost a lot of work this time round. The surprise is the 34 actually remaining at all.
