C couple of things I wasn't aware of - the First 9 (the Darnall service that used to be the TM 6) will now terminate at Angel Street like the SCT 31 did (i.e. saving a couple of minutes off the round trip by no longer serving the Interchange) and the First 11a will just run Herdings - City Centre as "permission has been refused to use the hospital grounds" << I'd wondered for a long time why there hadn't been any proper bus from the city centre into the grounds of the hospital (since the Mainline 64 over twenty years ago) - but interesting that the Hospital aren't allowing it (when the H1 and 32 are okay to (?) Oh and the Stagecoach 1 from High Green to Chapletown serving School Road (instead of Worral Road and the shops), again a marginal time saving I guess The service 1 route change is due tk Worral Road being a nightmare of road as one of driver said its there is alot of buses getting damaged on there plus no one really uses the bus stop on Worrall Road Worrall Rd is a bit notorious. You can go back to 1992 when a certain tree knocked windows out at a bus stop on there if the drivers of SYT or Omnibus didn't keep a look out for it. Solution? Myself and a deskman at Omnibus went up one night in his car and painted Tree on the road with a big arrow. That's also back when bus surfing on the top decks of 72/74/75/77 and 80s from Chapeltown to High Green was all the rage.

I'm always nostalgic for the Omnibus/Mainline "wars" but the idea of painting "tree" on the road with a big arrow is a new one to me - fantastic Captain!

Facebook picture on Hulleys page today states that the new service will be X71 but surely from previous pictures, this has no Castleton connotations??
