SL1/SL1A being re-introduced from 15 June 2020 (Read 741 times)

Following the backlash to the changes surrounding the SL1/SL1A being withdrawn and partially replaced with the revised 57/57A, the SL1/SL1A services will be re-introduced from Monday 15 June, provisionally on a combined hourly service (2 hourly on each service).

Yes, reintroduction coincides with the expected increase in demand as most shops reopen and some kids go back to school. The SL1/SL1a will supplement the capacity on the 57/57a/58 as well as address complaints about lost local journey opportunities such as the 57a only serving the Stocksbridge loop one way for those travelling to the shops in Stocksbridge town centre and the 58 not fully serving the Middlewood-Oughtibridge road.
