First’s changes also now on TSY timetables pages. Generally reversion to normal autumn timetables, with a few changes such as 32 now made into a circular to pick up losses from the 36.

Under the current situation, I do understand why, but do you know I never thought I would see the day where the X78 was down o hourly in the evening and half hourly on Sundays. The normal daytime frequency is now effectively the old Sunday service. As someone who cannot drive because of a medical condition, I am beginning to fear for the future of the industry and my independence. Interesting to see the X7 making a peak time comeback though!

What I would like to know is how the 137 replaces the 36. It is a totally different route and does not serve the Kimberworth Park or Greasbrough areas at all.
More buses in the Wickersley area and less elsewhere... hmmm

There are some "hidden cutbacks" are there not? 136 down to every 2 hours, was hourly 208 lost from Dinnington, 26 now only hourly, x78 now down to what use to be a Sunday service in the week daytime! I have however noticed today that Powell's are taking on the X20 Barnsley to Doncaster. It's sad but inevitable I guess to see so many cutbacks. Smaller places seem to have lost out Dinnington has gone from 4 buses be hour if you count the 208 and x55 to just two x5's outside peak times. Dinnington has also lost it's Doncaster link with the 18. There are some substantial reductions compared to the recent past. I wonder if they will be noticed or if people will just get used to the new? Although not quite as bad Stagecoach also have cut some services, The two is down to hourly, I am sure it used to be every 30 minutes. I am sure there are more but I may have missed them. |

Having looked through Sheffield area (I'm less familiar with the other areas) 2 Sheffield-Barnsley : reduced from every 30 mins to hourly - those passengers doing Sheffield-Barnsley full route do of course now also have the hourly X17 25 Bradway-Woodhouse : not all buses will serve the Wollaton/Longford estate in Bradway (that does open the route to double deckers). The withdrawal of late evening 25 services to Bradway/Lowedges remains with just the 24 running once an hour. 26 Thurgoland-Fox Valley : new service 36 Sheffield-Rotherham : withdrawn, replaced by changes to 32/32a and 137. M17 Dore-Jordanthorpe: the last two weekday trips that have been suspended are reinstated - and newly introduced to Saturdays too! M92 Hillsborough-Harley - withdrawn X6 Sheffield-Doncaster Airport - withdrawn X30 Sheffield-Harthill : remains suspended Looking at the X78 it appears that between Rotherham and Doncaster it is to become a co-ordinated service with the 221. Between Rotherham and Sheffield there is also the X1, X10 and tram. There appears to be cutbacks on the SL1/SL1a (every 15 mins rather than every 10-12 mins in the daytime and earlier last buses). I guess some of the services were struggling pre covid and others may have to change to reflect different demand post covid, for example more people working from home plus some people shopping and socialising more locally rather than the City Centre. A recent observation in the Bradway area for example is the M17 carrying more passengers than the 25 and streams of taxis plying the busless road to Dronfield on a Friday/Saturday night! |

Yeah it is, was wondering if the reason is cos it might be using deckers Yep using Deckers, saw 35101 on it on 32 on Petre Street with 1 passenger. 47471 which was on 32a had only myself on from City to Grimesthorpe. None of stops in City have 32a on them, so driver didn't know which stop to use |
